PUTTING OUR MUSIC SCENE ON THE MAP NEVER GETS OLD

From historic venues to a thriving underground, Boston’s music scene runs deep, spanning genres and generations. The city is home to a mix of rising talent and established artists, yet it’s often overlooked on the national stage. To change that, we brought Boston’s sound to the spotlight by throwing a full-on music festival in the heart of an American music mecca: Atlanta. We also designed a poster series that showcases the diverse scenes that make Boston unique, giving Atlanta music lovers a glimpse of what’s waiting for them just a short flight away.

POSTERS

INSPO & MOODBOARD //
A moodboard of visuals I pulled for my poster direction. I was assigned to capture the many DIY music scenes of underground artists in Boston. I took inspo from rough-cut self-made punk posters, underground hip hop aesthetics, and collage art.

FIRST DRAFTS //
I played with torn edges, marker strokes, and washed out halftones to give these the grungy hand made look I was going for.

FINAL POSTER WITH FULL SERIES //
The final result is a powerful collage that I think boldly captures the fight for independent music in Boston. I think it’s scrappy raw feel makes it contrast nicely against the other equally awesome posters in the series designed by Lindsay and Fran.

EVENT SIGNAGE

STAGE DESIGN //
I assisted our Senior AD Fran in getting the stage design specs finalized, and was also tasked with designing other branded signage around the event.
