THE WORLDS LARGEST
SOCCER BALL

I never imagined I would design “the worlds largest” anything, so when Massport came to us with this huge ask (and a small timeline) I was game. The FIFA World Cup was coming to Boston and Massport wanted to welcome the fans by setting the Guinness World Record for the worlds largest soccer ball. We designed a concept that threads the needle between the world coming to Boston, and the role Massport plays in connecting Boston globally.

MOODBOARD & INSPO //
Given the quick turnaround time we had, we got right to work researching and grabbing inspo.
This was the moodboard that inspired the chosen direction.

INITIAL CONCEPT MOCKS //
After many iterations these were the final 3 concepts we landed on. The chosen concept is called “Flight Paths.” Mimicking a radar, its all about world travel,
the unity we share in that as a global community, and the role Massport plays in getting people to where they’re going, wherever it may be on the globe.
